The Positive List System (PLS) was a system that applied a uniform limit of 0.01 mg/kg to products without maximum residue limits (MRLs) for pesticides and veterinary drugs, and was implemented in 2024. Screening for residual veterinary drugs was being conducted, but there was a lack of applicable analytical methods for fishery products. Accordingly, the expansion of reliable and accurate analytical methods for analyzing residual veterinary drugs in fishery products was required. In this study, an analytical method was developed to analyze nystatin, metomidate, and buparvaquone in fishery products (flatfish, eel, and shrimp) using liquid chromatography coupled with triple quadrupole electrospray tandem mass spectrometry (LC-ESI-MS/MS). The existing multiclass analytical method was modified and applied to analyze three veterinary drugs. In this method, the samples were extracted with water : acetonitrile (1:4, v/v) followed by purification, concentration, and analyzed with LC-ESI-MS/MS. The limit of quantitation for all veterinary drugs ware 0.005 mg/kg. The linearity of the matrix matched calibration curve (R2) ware ≥0.99 in the calibration range of 0.002 and 0.08 mg/kg. The average recovery rates were 72.90% to 108.05% at three fortification levels (1ⅹLOQ, 2ⅹLOQ, and 10ⅹLOQ) and the maximum coefficient of variation (C.V.) was 11.06%. The analytical method met the requirements of the CODEX guidelines (CAC/GL-40). |
