Accurately and reliably measuring antibiotic residues at sub-ppb levels in food and environmental samples is essential for regulatory compliance and food safety. This study presents a rapid yet robust multi-class antibiotic residue analysis method based on an LC- Orbitrap platform that is optimized to meet regulatory requirements for sensitivity, accuracy, and precision. The LC-Orbitrap workflow applies the QuEChERS sample preparation protocol to screen and quantify 27 antibiotics. Polarity switching is employed, and the process is supported by a comprehensive compound database containing retention times, fragment ions, and spectral library entries. As a result, the method delivers outstanding performance across key metrics, including limits of quantification, linear calibration ranges, and spectral matching, establishing an efficient workflow that enables simultaneous broad-spectrum screening and quantitation in food safety laboratories. The LC-Orbitrap approach meets stringent regulatory standards and provides a comprehensive and dependable solution for multi-residue antibiotic analysis, offering the flexibility, reliability, and ease of use required by high-throughput food safety testing laboratories. |
